The Pima County Sheriff’s Department announced the discovery of human remains in a desert area outside of Tucson, Arizona. While the discovery sparked immediate questions regarding the high-profile abduction of Nancy Guthrie—the mother of NBC’s Today show host Savannah Guthrie—the agency posted a statement confirming there is “no indication they are connected to the Nancy Guthrie investigation.” The search-and-rescue team found the remains near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard.
